Playpen showcases children's book illustration—the cool and cutting edge, rather than the cute and twee.

We developed a typeface based on fridge magnets which was used for the headings in the book and to create patterns on divider pages. The book was set in a typewriter font and the grid flexible to allow for a variety of images and shapes.
