GENETIC INFORMATION SERVICE
The Genetic Information Service is a very sensitive one – it gives advice and support to those affected by a potentially terminal genetic heart disorder.
We were asked to redesign a series of booklets to help the service; to be sent out or given to those that need more information. The booklets could be given to someone recently diagnosed with a disorder, or to those affected by a death in the family.
The booklets are perfect bound, rather than stapled, and beautifully illustrated by Aude Van Ryn. The typography is simple; but clean, and accessible.
The illustrations take the reader on a journey from discovery to hope, and break up what is otherwise a very heavy, often medical text. They also perfectly set the tone for what could be a daunting publication, and help break it into manageable sections.
These are the first two from a possible ten.
