ARTSMARK 2012

Artsmark is a programme run by Arts Council England that enables places of education to evaluate, celebrate and strengthen a quality arts offer.

We were asked to design a toolkit to be sent out to 1700 schools, and a plaque for 300 winners of the award. The toolkit contained a booklet, certificate, poster and set of art prints for display.

Bow Arts were commissioned alongside us to provide artworks to be incorporated across the materials – one for Primary and one for Secondary schools. There were two versions of every item, one for each age group.

We employed subtle finishing techniques (foiling and a mix of embossing and blind embossing) with a limited colour palette, allowing the artworks to take centre stage. Pantone gold and Cool Grey gave a sense of consistency across the materials.

We designed and printed a bespoke box with Packaging Formats to house all of the materials, which doubled up as a postage box.

The rest of the print and finishing was by Identity.
